Back-to-school Updates

Back to school is the most busy time for the website.

Here's a list of some of the changes to get ready for school.

• Content on main page re-organized for hopefully easier reading.The categories, which are in more or less priority order in general, are:

• Calendar created and updated with PTA, Site Council, and Holidays
• Duveneck 0809 handbook posted. This has tons of information that generates other content on the web, such as who has what position.
• Bell schedule (which is different this year) updated
• PTA Exec Board, Meeting Schedule, Budget, Volunteer list
• 2008-09 Book Club List
• Updated the every popular "Contact Us" to point to key directory pages on the site

Service Issue Resolved

As of Aug 21, I'm able to make changes to the website. I'll be doing so over the weekend.

STUDENT SUPPLY LIST

for

2008-2009

The following are supplies that your student(s) will need for their own personal use in the classroom this year.

There is no need to purchase the requested items new; if your student already has these items, please feel free to have them use them again next year.

If you are unable to purchase these supplies for your child, we will provide the materials they need. Additional classroom supplies will be funded with the support of the Duveneck PTA’s Direct Ask.

Entering Kindergarten: A full-sized backpack* A lunch box or bag*	Entering Grade 1: A pencil box (8” x 5 ½ “ is ideal) 1 pocket folder (your child can pick any design)
Entering Grade 2: No supplies are needed	Entering Grade 3: Pencil box 1 box of 8 thin markers 1 box of crayons
Entering Grade 4: One 10-15 pocket plastic expandable file with tabs Pencil box One 2-pocket folder (heavy duty/durable – your child can pick any design) 1 hand-held pencil sharpener (with container to hold shavings)	Entering Grade 5: One 3-ring binder (1½“ width) 1 pencil pouch (for binder) 5“ x 8“ plastic storage container with flip top lid (example: “Spacemaker”) 1 box of thin-line colored markers
